Hello, I am a Howard University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
As a STEM alumnus, I know it can sometimes feel like an uphill battle when learning math, especially
when paired with learning other subjects. I’ve particularly seen the struggles that math students
can face while learning a new subject as I’ve has dealt with the same struggles. Progressing
through my studies I began to tutor math and began to see it not just from my perspective but from
the perspectives of students from all different walks of life. Through my years of practice,
I picked up on the minute details that can make or break students when trying to study the
subject for the first time and I used this new-found knowledge to help many students pass their
courses with better ease.
Any subject can be treacherous when dealing with the wrong teacher, coupled with the
wrong books, and the wrong resources, especially when dealing with a subject that one isn’t necessarily
a natural at. This can can be a headache causing one to increase their amount of time needed to study.
As a student, having a higher quality of studying, while speeding up your learning time is imperative
to success and that has always been my aim as a math tutor. Whether or not a student has working
knowledge of the subject at hand this database introduces every topic to the student as if they are
blank slates and tries to make the learning process as visually detailed and interactive as possible –
with the addition of theory giving students the background logic as to why the problems operate as
they do – I aim to make the learning process easy enough that any and everybody will be able to pick
up on how to solve the problems at hand.
